Music for Creative Inspiration.

What music do you listen to for creative inspiration?

I noticed many Deviants include a link or mention certain musical artists and pieces that have inspired their work.

I thought it would be interesting to share with other fellow DA creatives what music we listen to and how it relates to our work.   

I myself am particularly interested in contemporary instrumental music (analog and digital) that has evocative and beautiful melodies that enable your mind to travel to far and unimagined places.

I find the ambient/new age/chill out genres are a great source of inspiration and ideas when I sit down in front of my computer to do a photomanipulation.

Among the many artist I listen to, one of my favorites musicians with evocative rhythms and hypnotic melodies is Patrick O'Hearn. My favorite Album is titled 'Indigo'.

I am a self-represented visual and digital artist and creative graphic designer living and working in Brooklyn, New York.

My main interest is 2D media such as painting, printmaking, drawing, photography, photomanipulation, digital collage, creative graphic design, and digital art.

I also like to experiment with different art genres such as still life, flowers, architectural landscape, portraiture, geometric shapes, figurative and conceptual.

In regards to subject matter – I employ representational imagery to depict moments of contemplation and the beauty that surrounds me, -- while at the same time on a spiritual level I am concerned with themes that explore our relationship with nature and our existential human condition.

I studied art at Tufts University & the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and Pratt Institute of Art & Design in Brooklyn, NY.
